HOW TO APPLY 

APPLICATION FOR VISA TO THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND

 

Important information

  • The Embassy may issue visas to Jordanian nationals including other nationals who possess a permanent residency card in Jordan.
    Visa applications will take at least one working day to process.
  • For applicants in other countries, please consult the Royal Thai Embassy or Thai Consulate-General for information
  • For applicants in other countries where there are not Royal Thai Embassies or Thai Consulates-General, the issuing of a visa may be up to the discretion of the Royal Thai Embassy in Amman. In this case, the applicant may have to be interviewed or requested to provide additional documents.
  • The following are visa requirements for each applicant. 
  • Applications must be submitted by hand only.

1. Requirements for applications for Tourist (Single-entry) Visas 

  • Completed application form (please complete all parts as clearly as possible);
  • Copy of valid Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival into the Kingdom);
  • Copy of a return (1) airline and (2) accommodation bookings for the entire stay in Thailand;
  • Copy of National ID. If the applicant does not have a national ID, a driver’s license or house registration can be used. 

2. Requirements for applications for Tourist (Multiple-entry) Visas

  • Completed application form;
  • Copy of valid Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival into the Kingdom);
  • Copy of a return (1) multiple 2-way airline bookings and (2) accommodation bookings for the entire stay in Thailand;
  • Copy of National ID. If the applicant does not have a national ID, a driver’s license or house registration can be submitted instead;
  • Evidence of permanent residence or residency permit in Jordan;
  • Official bank statement:
    (1) For applicants travelling alone: a minimum of 5,700 USD (4,000 JOD) monthly balance for the past 6 months
    (2) For applicants travelling with family: a minimum of 11,400 USD (8,000 JOD) monthly balance for the past 6 months.
         (Family = father, mother, spouse and children);
  • Evidence of employment or student status from appropriate educational institution. If the applicant is the owner of an establishment, then an official document proving the registration of the establishment from the appropriate government institution is required.

 

3. Requirements for applications for Iraqi and Libyan Nationals
    
Iraqi and Libyan nationals may apply for a visa within these categories: Tourist / Non-immigrant / Transit (the process takes up to 6-8 weeks)

    3.1 Step 1

          (1) Applications for Tourist Visa:

  • Completed application form (1 photograph attached);
  • Copy of National ID and valid Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended arrival into the Kingdom) together in 1 A4-sized paper. (Sample

         (2) Applications for Non-Immigrant Visas will be asked to provide at least the following: 

  • Completed application form (1 photograph attached);
  • Copy of National ID and valid Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended arrival into the Kingdom) together in 1 A4-sized paper. (Sample
  • Letter of Invitation from a Thai institution / organ / body (if applicable);
  • Letter of Employment (if applicable)

    3.2 Step 2 (applicant or agency must confirm approval after Step 1 with Thai Embassy first)

          (1) Applications for Tourist Visa:

  • Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended arrival into the Kingdom);
  • 2 additional copies of the completed application form (1 photograph attached to each application) with renewed proposed date of arrival;
  • Copy of a (1) return airline ticket and (2) accommodation booking(s) of the applicant's entire stay in Thailand;

         (2) Applications for Non-Immigrant Visas will be asked to provide at least the following: 

  • Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended arrival into the Kingdom);
  • 2 additional copies of the completed application form (1 photograph attached to each application) with renewed proposed date of arrival;
  • Copy of a (1) return airline ticket(s) and (2) accommodation booking(s) for the applicant's entire stay in Thailand.

4. Requirements for Palestinian Nationals

1) Palestinian Nationals with residence in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank

In addition to the above procedure and requirements, applicants must also submit the following additional documents:   

o   Bank statement       

o   Evidence of employment from employer

2) Palestinian Nationals without residence in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank

2.1 Applicants must submit the following documents for approval which will require 6-8 weeks:

o   Completed application form

o   Copy of current passport

o   Passport-sized Photo

2.2 Upon approval, the applicant must then submit the above required documents in addition to following documents as follows:

o   Bank statement

o   Evidence of employment

*Palestinian Nationals may apply through a travel agency
