On 26 November 2018 His Excellency Mr. Surajit Intharachit, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand, head of the Thai delegation, His Excellency Mr. Pornpong Kanittanon, Ambassador of Thailand to Jordan, and the Thai delegation participated in the third Joint Project Steering Committee Meeting (The 3rd PSC Meeting) under the project on weather modification by Royal Rainmaking Technology between Thailand and Jordan at Jordan Metrological Department (JMD). The Jordanian side was attended by His Excellency Mr. Hussein Al Momani, Director-General of the Jordan Metrological Department (JMD), and representatives from relevant agencies.

The two sides discussed the activities under the three-year Project Work Plan (23 March 2016- 22 March 2019), the challenges facing the rainmaking operations in Jordan and the climate change situations in Jordan during the past year and, proposed a recommendation report to be submitted to the Government of Jordan. Also during 20-28 November 2018, relevant Jordanian officials were trained by a Thai experts team on Radar Data Processing and Cloud Seeding Evaluation.
