On 7 November 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy together with ASEAN Embassies in Amman including Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines visited the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), a leading phosphate mining and processing company in Jordan at Eshidaya Mines. The delegation was greeted by Dr. Mohammad Thneibat, the Chairman of JPMC, Mr. Shafiq Al-Ashqar, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company and other officials. The delegation also had a chance to see Alazema Electrical Dragline Operation and Fertilizer Plants run by Jordan India Fertilizer Company (JIFCO) and Indo-Jordan Chemical Company (IJC).

On 8 November 2018, the delegation visited the Industrial Complex in Aqaba and the Sea Ports run by the Jordan Industrial Ports Company (JIPC), a joint venture between Arab Potash Company (APC), JPMC and Aqaba Development Cooperation. The joint venture is now working on a project to expand the jetty used for exporting fertilizer products and importing raw materials for the company.
