On 4 September 2018 His Excellency Mr. Pornpong Kanittanon, Ambassador of Thailand to Jordan, led Honorable Admiral Amorntep Nabangchang, Member of the National Legislative Assembly and the President of the Thailand-Jordan Parliamentarians Friendship Group, and his delegation to pay a courtesy call on His Excellency Dr. Omar Razzaz, Prime Minister of Jordan during their visit to Jordan on 3-8 September as guests of the Senate of Jordan.

On the same day, His Excellency Mr. Ambassador and the Thai delegation also had meetings with His Excellency Dr. Sulaiman Al Zabin, Vice President of the Senate, His Excellency Dr. Ma’rouf Al-Bakhit, Vice President of the Senate and representatives of Jordan-Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Committee. The two sides discussed ways to enhance the relations between Thailand and Jordan and cooperation in trade and investment, tourism, education and culture.
