On 12 July 2018, the ASEAN Embassies in Amman including Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand held the ASEAN Committee in Amman (ACA) meeting at the Royal Thai Embassy. The meeting discussed the ACA activities during the second half of 2018 and His Excellency Datuk Jilid Kuminding, Ambassador of Malaysia handed over the ACA Chairmanship to His Excellency Mr. Pornpong Kanittanon, Ambassador of Thailand.

His Excellency Mr. Pornpong Kanittanon, Ambassador of Thailand to Jordan, will be the Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Amman from July-December 2018.
