On 8 August 2017, ASEAN Embassies in Amman, i.e. Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand, jointly organized the Celebration of the 50^th Anniversary of ASEAN at Al Hussein Cultural Centre. Around 500 people, including H.E. Mrs. Lina Annab, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan, as Guest of Honour, Honorary Consul of Singapore, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Greater Amman Municipality, Diplomatic Corps and the private sector of Jordan, attended the event.

In the event, there were exhibitions, cultural performances and, food and desserts from the five ASEAN countries. The participants very much enjoyed the show “Ram Wong Wan Loi Krathong” from the Thai community in Jordan and Pad Thai and Sago in coconut milk from the Royal Thai Embassy.
