On 12 June 2017 His Excellency Mr. Pornpong Kanittanon, Ambassador of Thailand to Jordan, attended an Iftar dinner which Mr. Maher Shakhatreh, President of the Jordanian Thai Friendship Association, hosted to congratulate His Excellency Mr. Ambassador on the occasion of his official appointment as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The dinner was attended by His Excellency Mr. Abdelraouf Al Rawabdeh, former Prime Minister of Jordan, along with other dignitaries such as Mr. Adel Tweissi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Walid Al-Masri, Minister of Municipal Affairs, and Mr. Issa Murad, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Amman.
