On 20 October 2016 the Royal Thai Embassy in Amman held a condolence ceremony on the occasion of the 7th day of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibhol Adulyadej of Thailand. Over 100 people from the Thai community in Jordan attended the event, including Embassy officials and staff. Ms. Lalana Chatchawan, Chargé d’affaires a.i., read a poem composed by Mr. Naowarat Pongpaiboon, national artist, to pay homage to His Majesty, which was followed by a 3-minute period of silence.
