On 8 August 2016 the Royal Thai Embassy, in cooperation with the other ASEAN Embassies in Amman, namely Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, organised the celebration of the 49^th ASEAN Day between 18:30 to 20:00 hours at the Odeon Amphitheatre, Amman, Jordan. Over 300 guests and friends of ASEAN attended the event, including H.E. Mr. Akel Biltaji, Mayor of Amman, H.E. Dr. Adel Tweissi, Minister of Culture, H.E. Ms. Lina Annab, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and resident ambassadors in Amman.
