Non-immigrant visa type “O” (Retirement)

Non-Thai nationals who hold Non-immigrant visa type “O” (Retirement)

 

Step 1: Apply for non-immigrant visa type “O” (Retirement) at the Royal Thai Embassy in Amman.

In case that the applicant has valid retirement visa stamp from the Immigration Bureau, the applicant is required to provide additional document as follows:

  1. Health insurance document issued by a Thai or foreign insurance company, stating that the applicant is medically insured for the entire stay period in Thailand with the following coverage:
  • Outpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 40,000 THB (around 1,300 USD), and
  • Inpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 400,000 THB (around 13,000 USD)

Step 2: Apply for Certificate of Entry (COE) at https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/ at least 7 working days before departure. Please choose entry category as “11(Non-O) – Long Stay Visitor (Non-O)”. Required documents are as follows:

  1. A copy of the applicant’s valid passport
  2. Valid visa to Thailand
  3. A confirmed Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) booking* in accordance with regulation. The list of ASQ can be found at http://www.hsscovid.com/
  4. Medical insurance which covers treatment and medical expenses in relation to COVID 19, with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD for their entire stay period in Thailand. (Passenger can also buy health insurance at https://covid19.tgia.org/)
  5. Flight ticket reservation
  6. COVID-19 vaccine certificate (optional)*. 

 

Step 3: Prepare health related documents.

  1. Fit to Fly or Fit to Travel Health Certificate (no longer required from 1 April 2021 onwards).
  2. Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected by RT-PCR, issued no more than 72 hours before departure.

 

Step 4: Before checking in at the airport, the applicant is required to demonstrate following documents:

  1. Valid passport
  2. Valid visa to Thailand
  3. COE issued by the Royal Thai Embassy.
  4. Fit to Fly or Fit to Travel Health Certificate (no longer required from 1 April 2021 onwards).
  5. Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected by RT-PCR, issued no more than 72 hours before departure.
  6. Medical insurance which covers treatment and medical expenses in relation to COVID 19, with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD.
  7. A confirmed ASQ booking.
  8. COVID-19 vaccine certificate (optional)*

 

Step 5: Upon arriving in Thailand, the passenger is required to present the following documents to the authorities:

  1. Valid passport
  2. Valid visa to Thailand
  3. COE issued by the Royal Thai Embassy.
  4. Fit to Fly or Fit to Travel Health Certificate (no longer required from 1 April 2021 onwards).
  5. Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected by RT-PCR, issued no more than 72 hours before departure.
  6. Medical insurance which covers treatment and medical expenses in relation to COVID 19, with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD.
  7. A confirmed ASQ booking.
  8. T 8 form (in the attachment).
  9. Download and register with ThailandPlus application before the arrival at Thai Airport. 
  10. COVID-19 vaccine certificate (optional)*
