Approved Film Crew Member

 

Step 1: Contact Thailand Film Office, Department of Tourism, for approval to make film in Thailand. If the request is approved, the Thailand Film Office will issue the letter to the Royal Thai Embassy, requesting for the facilitation of visa and Certificate of Entry (COE) issuance.

 

Step 2: Apply for Non-Immigrant visa type “M” at the Royal Thai Embassy.

 

Step 3: Apply for COE at https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/ at least 7 working days before departure. Please choose entry category as "11(Film) - Approved Film Crew Member (Film)". Required documents are as follows:

  1. A copy of the applicant’s valid passport.
  2. Valid visa to Thailand
  3. Letter from Thailand Film Office, requesting the Embassy to facilitate the visa and COE issuance.
  4. A confirmed Alternative Quarantine (AQ) booking* in accordance with regulation. For more details, please visit our <<Frequent Asked Question>>
  5. Medical insurance which covers treatment and medical expenses in relation to COVID 19, with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD for their entire stay period in Thailand. (Passenger can also buy health insurance at https://covid19.tgia.org/)
  6. Flight ticket reservation
  7. COVID-19 vaccine certificate (optional)*

 

Step 4: Prepare health related documents.

  1. Fit to Fly or Fit to Travel Health Certificate (no longer required from 1 April 2021 onwards). 
  2. Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected by RT-PCR, issued no more than 72 hours before departure.

 

Step 5: Before checking in at the airport, the applicant is required to demonstrate following documents

  1. Valid passport
  2. Valid visa to Thailand
  3. COE issued by the Royal Thai Embassy.
  4. Fit to Fly or Fit to Travel Health Certificate (no longer required from 1 April 2021 onwards).
  5. Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected by RT-PCR, issued no more than 72 hours before departure.
  6. Medical insurance which covers treatment and medical expenses in relation to COVID 19, with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD.
  7. A confirmed AQ booking.
  8. COVID-19 vaccine certificate (optional)*

 

Step 6: Upon arriving in Thailand, the passenger is required to present the following documents to the authorities:

  1. Valid passport.
  2. Valid visa to Thailand.
  3. COE issued by the Royal Thai Embassy.
  4. Fit to Fly or Fit to Travel Health Certificate (no longer required from 1 April 2021 onwards).
  5. Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected by RT-PCR, issued no more than 72 hours before departure.
  6. Medical insurance which covers treatment and medical expenses in relation to COVID 19, with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD.
  7. A confirmed AQ booking.
  8. T 8 form (in the attachment).
  9. Download and register with ThailandPlus application before the arrival at Thai Airport.
  10. COVID-19 vaccine certificate (optional)*
