On 30 August 2020, His Excellency Mr. Pornpong Kanittanon, Ambassador of Thailand to Jordan together with the ASEAN Committee in Amman including ASEAN Ambassadors and representative from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines visited King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) in Mafraq. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Mazen Kawar, Chairman of KADDB, Mr. Amjad Al-Shuhail, CEO of KADDB and related officials and was briefed about KADDB which was initiated by His Majesty King Abdullah II who puts the emphasis on the design, development and research on innovative solutions and technologies to serve the national security. The delegation then visited KADDB’s affiliates including Jordan Ammunition Manufacturing Services (JORAMMO), Jordan Armament & Weapon Systems (JAWS), Jordan Advanced Machining Company (JordanAMCO), and ASELSAN Middle East (AME). After the tour, the delegation visited the Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX) Site at Marka Airport which showcased the COVID-19 ICU Mobile Clinic Unit under the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s project with KADDB to combat with the COVID-19 pandemic.
