NON-IMMIGRANT (O-A)

 

Purpose of visit: To stay in Thailand for a long period

Qualifications to apply

  1. Must be a Jordanian or a permanent resident in Jordan.
  2. Must be at least 50 years old.
  3. Not being prohibited from entering Thailand under Immigration.
  4. Having no criminal record against the security of Thailand and the applicant’s country of origin.
  5. Not having prohibitive diseases (leprosy, tuberculosis, drug addiction, elephantiasis and third stage of syphilis) as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535 (1992).

 

Requirements for applications Multiple entry visas

  1. Completed application form (please complete all parts as clearly as possible).
  2. Two (2) color photos of applicant (size 3.5 x 4.5 cm.)
  3. Copy of valid Passport (must be valid for at least 18 months from the intended arrival into the Kingdom).
  4. Copy of National ID. If the applicant does not have a national ID, a driver’s license or house registration can be used.
  5. Proof of permanent resident status in Jordan.
  6. Bank statement with a minimum deposit equivalent to 17,400 JOD or Income Certificate with a minimum monthly income equivalent to 1,400 JOD.
  7. Medical certificate issued in Jordan within the last 3 months showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535 (1992).  
  8. The applicant must be medically insured for the entire period of stay in Thailand with the following coverage:
  • Outpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 40,000 THB, and
  • Inpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 400,000 THB

        The applicants must submit the following:

        8.1. Health insurance policy document issued by a Thai or foreign insurance company, stating that the applicant is medically insured for the period and with coverage as mentioned above:

         (a) In case of a foreign insurance company, the applicant must submit original insurance policy document with 2 copies;

         (b) In case of a Thai insurance company, the applicant must submit 2 copies of the insurance policy document or, if available, the original insurance policy document with 2 copies. A list of Thai insurance companies participating in the scheme can be found here: http://longstay.tgia.org

          8.2. Foreign Insurance Certificate as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand, which must be completed, signed and stamped by the insurance company.   1. Certified criminal record in the applicant’s country of origin or current country of residence issued by competent authority within the last 3 months.
  2. If also applying for a visa for spouse, a copy of marriage certificate must be submitted.
  3. Copy of an Airline ticket or confirmation slip with applicant's name, flight number as well as date of entry and departure.
  4. Copy of an accommodation bookings for the entire stay in Thailand.

 

Requirements for applications for Iraqi Nationals

Step 1

  1. Completed application form (please complete all parts as clearly as possible).
  2. One (1) color photos of applicant (size 3.5 x 4.5 cm.)
  3. Copy of National ID and valid Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended arrival into the Kingdom) together in 1 A4-sized paper.
  4. Proof of permanent resident status in Jordan.
  5. Bank statement with a minimum deposit equivalent to 17,400 JOD or Income Certificate with a minimum monthly income equivalent to 1,400 JOD.
  6. Medical certificate issued in Jordan within the last 3 months showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535 (1992).
  7. The applicant must be medically insured for the entire period of stay in Thailand with the following coverage:
  • Outpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 40,000 THB, and
  • Inpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 400,000 THB

          7.2.   2. If also applying for a visa for spouse, a copy of marriage certificate must be submitted.

 

Step 2 applicant or agency must confirm approval after Step 1 with Thai Embassy first

  1. Original Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended arrival into the Kingdom).
  2. 3 Completed application form with renewed proposed date of arrival.
  3. Three (3) color photos of applicant (size 3.5 x 4.5 cm.)
  4. Copy of an Airline ticket or confirmation slip with applicant's name, flight number as well as date of entry and departure.
  5. Copy of an accommodation bookings for the entire stay in Thailand.

 

Requirements for Palestinian Nationals with residence in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank

  1. 3 Completed application form (please complete all parts as clearly as possible).
  2. Three (3) color photos of applicant (size 3.5 x 4.5 cm.)
  3. Copy of valid Passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival into the Kingdom).
  4. Copy of National ID. If the applicant does not have a national ID, a driver’s license or house registration can be used.
  5. Evidence of employment.
  6. Proof of permanent resident status in Jordan.
  7. Bank statement with a minimum deposit equivalent to 17,400 JOD or Income Certificate with a minimum monthly income equivalent to 1,400 JOD.
  8. Medical certificate issued in Malaysia within the last 3 months showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535 (1992).
  9. The applicant must be medically insured for the entire period of stay in Thailand with the following coverage:
  • Outpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 40,000 THB, and
  • Inpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 400,000 THB

        The applicants must submit the following:

Visa application fee

  • Multiple Entry : 150 JOD

 

Validity of visa

  • Multiple entries must be used within 1 year from the date of issuance.

 

Period of stay in Thailand

  • When entering Thailand within the given time frame, the immigration officer at the entry point will grant a 1 year. This is the initial period of stay for this type of visa. For an extension of stay beyond 1 years, application must be made at an Immigration Bureau.
